and an emmy to alfie allen’s face
These just get better and better. I’m sorry. Still laughing. This is better than all of the weird Dany faces. :D
Imagine if Theon and Daenerys had children … oO
No please I don’t want to imagine that
Seven hells I just cannot
**Author’s note: Since you guys are reblogging these (kind of a lot, very quickly), I’d like to say, for Alfie’s sake, he didn’t mean he liked being a sexual jerk with that girl on the boat. What he meant (YOU MUST LISTEN TO THE INTERVIEW AND NOT GO BY MY QUOTES) is that he loves playing the type of character that Theon is: Kind of a jerk, but not really a bad guy.**
This is the full version of my interview with Game of Thrones’ Alfie Allen, who plays Theon Greyjoy on the HBO series.
Any strange noises are probably texts and emails coming into my phone, which serves as a sound recorder.
Favorite moments (roughly transcribed):
Reporter A: Is it uncomfortable for you [to act in scenes like S2E2, where your character roughly sexes up a girl and asks her to smile with her lips closed]?
Allen: Is it uncomfortable?! NO! I love it!Me: Are you a big party guy? You seem like the type of guy who’s down to do anything.
Allen: …I like to party as much as the next guy or girl. Why? Do you like to party? Wanna party with me tonight?
Me: I love to party.
Allen: Yeah, let’s do it, baby. Let’s party.Reporter A: Why do you think the show has reached so much success?
Allen: It’s got a lot of food, sex and violence.Reporter B: You think people like watching food?
Allen: Yeah! Please check out my story at the Miami New Times (and hopefully soon on The Mary Sue as well).
Alfie Allen interview with Thronecast, region-free.
Really nice interview, check it out. This part is hilarious:
So much of the cast has read the books though…
Dempsie: It’s very hard to avoid spoilers. Everyone’s read them. But one time, David Benioff and Dan Weiss sent a script out to everyone and they sent a different one to Alfie Allen. They put a new scene in it in which Theon is murdered in a particularly grisly way. They waited to see what Alfie thought of him being killed off so soon when he thought he’d be doing it for [a longer period of time]. So for about a day, Alfie thought his character was being killed off, but it was only in his script did they put that scene. I think they should have made him film it first and then told him the truth.
