From filming last fall:
Walking from base, the edge of the camp is only a few feet away, but the site is like a fantasy. If you can ignore the cameras and crew, you might believe you were actually inside a wilding village. Our extras (the men all with fabulous beards of course) work in between the huts or huddle around fires, and even children run through the snow to greet a visitor from the Wall, in their own special way.
It’s also a day when our friend Ian Whyte, who plays the White Walker, is back in a different role, one we haven’t seen before. He’s got some awfully big shoes to fill for this particular scene.
Remember Nikolaj Coster-Waldau’s remarks a couple weeks ago about filming in the US for two days because “an actor wasn’t allowed to leave the country?”
Meet the actor:

A bear, a bear, for a maiden fair. This is Bart the Bear who will have a role in season 3 of Game of Thrones.
GRRM announced the casting on his blog yesterday. Beware of spoilers if you click through
FANGIRLING: I saw Kit Harington walking across the street, going back to his hotel after a night out here in Iceland!
plus i saw Rose Leslie…but y’know..whatever >.>
The GoT writer gives a great interview in the current issue. One notable highlight:
“Today, I just came from the set where one of the iconic sword fights of the book is being shot, and any fan of the books will know what I am talking about,” he reveals. “I sat watching and thought to myself, ‘I’ve been waiting to see this scene shot in front of me for four years’, and I know fans have been waiting even longer than that. I’m thrilled that we can offer some of those moments this season.”
Looks like Iceland filming is finishing up- weather permitting!

Two more photos popped up today from the Essaouira, Morocco filming in October. These photos do have spoilers.
